Acceptable Use of Our Site
You must use this website in accordance with these Terms and for lawful purposes.
You may not use this website for any unlawful purpose or in any way that:
causes damage or harm to us, our site, or any other user;
breaches any applicable law;
is fraudulent;
knowingly transmits viruses etc.
Intellectual Property
Our site and all intellectual property rights in it are owned by us, our licensors or both. This includes all text, logos and images. We and our licensors reserve all of our and their rights in any intellectual property rights in connection with our site.
You may not copy, sell or reuse material on this website without written permission.
Contributor Submissions
Where a submission is accepted for publication, the copyright ownership of the work remains always with the author. Contributors grant The HICCUPS a non-exhaustive license to publish their work.
Simultaneous submissions are accepted. Please notify The HICCUPS by email if your work has been accepted elsewhere.
Submissions must be of the contributor’s own work. By submitting a piece to The HICCUPS, the contributor warrants that the work is their own, that they have the the authority to submit the piece, and that no third party rights are infringed by publication of their work.
They also warrant that AI tools have not been used to generate any of the work submitted to the magazine.
Payment of £100 is given for successful submissions. There is no fee to submit to the magazine.
Contributors will be notified within six weeks if their work has been accepted.
Submissions are open to everyone.
The HICCUPS may refuse your submission and is not bound to give a reason for doing so.

Returns & Refunds Policy
Purchases made online may be returned within 14 days where the customer has changed his/her mind. We will only accept returns where the item is unworn and in saleable condition. If, upon inspection, it is in suitable condition we will process the refund. The cost of returning the item is the responsibility of the customer. Notification of your intention to return must be made within 14 days of delivery, and delivery of the return must be made within a further 14 days.
Where a product is faulty, a refund will be given and the cost of shipping it back to us will be covered. For a full refund, please notify of us of the faulty item within 30 days. After that, a replacement may be given.
International Shipping & Customs Charges
Custom charges may apply to orders shipped outside the United Kingdom. Customers are responsible for any customs charges that may apply to their order. Any such fees are the responsibility of the purchaser to pay, and The HICCUPS accepts no liability for charges, delays or issues arising from customs processing. The HICCUPS takes no responsibility for refunding orders that are refused or returned due to unpaid customs fees.
Email Communications
Where a website user has signed up to receive emails from us, they may expect that we will send emails with news pertaining to the magazine. We won’t use your contact details to send you anything other than what you’ve agreed to.
If you no longer wish to receive communications from us please send an email to info@thehiccupsmagazine.com letting us know.
You may be contacted by email where you have left feedback or a query through the form on the Contact page.
Individuals who make submissions may expect communications from The HICCUPS that relate to their submission.

Limitation of Liability
Contributors certify that the work they submit is entirely original and their own, that they own the copyright, and that it does not infringe on a third party’s legal rights or contain otherwise unlawful material.
Contributors agree to hold harmless and indemnify The HICCUPS for any legal fees, damages or losses incurred by The HICCUPS arising out of legal action taken by another on account of their submission.
The HICCUPS is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages a contributor might claim as a result of the submission or publication process. The HICCUPS will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our website or services.
